3537 Fruitvale Ave Oakland, CA 94602 Ly Luck is a chinese restaurant in Oakland's Dimond district. I was treated to lunch here awhile ago. I recently returned to grab some takeout. On a warm Saturday afternoon, I ordered (to-go): - Tomato Beef Chow Mein - Beef Chow Fun - Wor Won Ton Soup The Tomato Beef Chow Mein was really good. They offered to pack it in separate containers so I can combine the noodles and gravy at home. It was delicious and looked great! Crispy noodles with big chunks of tomato, onions, and sliced beef. I had to have their Beef Chow Fun again! We ordered it last time for lunch, and it was just as good as takeout. Thick flat noodles, lots of beef, and just the right amount of gravy. The Wor Won Ton Soup was okay. It had about 9-10 plump dumplings, maybe 2 shrimp, bok choy, chicken and some pieces of beef. The savory soup was seasoned just right. Overall, Ly Luck serves good chinese food, with nice service. It's worth a trip to the Dimond District, and Flavor Brigade is right across the street!
I love this place. It's been here forever. As a kid, I remember my mom and my grandma taking me here for dinner or getting me sizzling rice soup when I wasn't feeling well. As an adult, I stopped coming because... life, but I have recently gone back, and I was so happy that the food tasted as good as I remembered it. I even tried their crispy duck (as a kid, I didn't have the pallette), and it was AMAZING!
My friend and I are looking for a restaurant nearby for lunch. I ate this restaurant a long time ago. I read the reviews. They changed the new owner. I see some old customers write the comments, but I still think I want to try it, because everything in the Bay Area are very expensive now, and their prices are acceptable to me. I think I still like their taste, especially their seafood eggplant pot. Maybe everyone's taste is different. I will recommend my friend to come. Their waiter is very good.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant. Their food are delicious and come in huge portions. Since their prices are so very reasonable, you get the best value for your money in all of Oakland (maybe even in the East Bay!) The owners and the staff are super friendly. Parking is very easy. That is why even people from far away come here.
